Summer = Baseball!
So far, summer 2017 has seen a-MAZ-ing weather and it looks like the trend of sunny days is set to continue. If you’re hunting for something to do other than hitting the beach, why not consider checking out a baseball game?
Come out to Nat Bailey Stadium to cheer on the Vancouver Canadians as they flex their muscles against the Spokane Indians on Wednesday, July 12 at 7:05pm. You’ll be in for a treat, as Vancouver Coastal Health will be on site to celebrate the Vancouver Canadians Baseball Club being tobacco-free. Vancouver Coastal Health has enjoyed a long-term partnership with the Club and will be bringing giveaways and prizes to the event for you to win!
At this game, VCH is supporting The Dugout Club, a Not-For-Profit Society that helps to foster the growth and development of baseball enthusiasts, programs, and facilities in the Lower Mainland. It was founded in 2009 to help resurrect the Douglas College baseball program and has brought baseball into the Richmond Olympic Oval and Little League Baseball to the East Richmond Area. Check out their FREE “JUST PLAY BALL” program on Wednesday nights in Richmond at baseball.bc.ca. Watch for Club founder Serj Sangara who will be raising awareness about the organization and being tobacco-free at the game as well as throwing out the first pitch to kick things off!
So what are you waiting for? Grab your friends and get ready to have a blast with an evening of fast-paced baseball and awesome freebies!
